Increase muscle mass in the arms?

I have quite strong biceps but i want more mass. I do 8 reps heavy weights with bicep curls and I do 5 sets of them. Is this the right way to gain bicep mass or should I be doing things another way. Please help. Also what technique should I be using for bicep curls and should I use a straight bar or dumbells for them.
